BUSY

I am quite busy with all my university work at the moment, so I neglect everything, even my guitar has gathered dust.

Currently reading into Semiotics, more on the visual side though, this is helping with a chapter for my dissertation. Also, I have noticed a lack of resources which indicate a clear understanding of the history of branding. However I have found a book people may be interested in buying call 'The Rise of Brands', written by Liz Moor. It has not reached my door yet so I cannot actually give any information about it. But it seems to be the only decent one out there, that I have found.

For a look at recent work, check out my deviant page.
I will leave with you with an interview with the amazing Stuntkid.

Building.

Hey all, I have been really busy lately and will continue being busy with my college work. Mainly my dissertation, but its fun so I can't complain.
First call goes to a new illustration I have done, it didn't take too long, but I am pleased.

I used stock taken from mjranum
He is an amazing photographer and also has some great stock for deviantart users(here).

I am please to upload some of my 'Bite + Chew' t-shirt designs. The first 5 you see I believe are the ones that were printed. I am pretty stoked about it, they are an ethically friendly clothing company who use organic cotton. If your into snowboarding, skiing, or skateboarding you will like there stuff. (hopefully)

The above 5 designs are some of my favorites which I will be getting printed in the new year, probably for my exhibition.
I have some more designs which can be found in my deviantart.

That is about it really, oh and if your into design check out Crobbo's blog, just did a brief insight into colour. Pretty good.

Anyway take it easy,

A little video with sweet animation and some wonderful lyrics.

bye!

November week... cold a bit

It has been a very cold week, well past week, and I think it is going to continue.

I haven't got much new that I can I put up really, a couple of illustrations and thats it really.

Been doing plenty of work and been reading a good book. NO LOGO. Purchase it, or borrow it. Written by Naomi Klein. It is a great read for any graphic designer, or anyone interested in large corporations and there business, with a hint of manipulation.
Above is one of my quick hand illustrations rushed through Illustrator. My hair, thankfully has been cut, so doesn't look like that anymore. Quite sad in a way. Took me awhile.

Above is a quick illustration done completely in Illustrator. I am pleased, experimental, but still. I like it.

Oh. There is an image here, I created for a small competition. Didn't put it on here purely because it contains nudity, and i don't want under age eyes flying across it.

A wonderful version of Road to Joy. enjoy ;)

First Actual Post

Firstly I've been feeling slightly under the weather, and with it changing so fast, it seems wrong.

Above are designs for my first project, only part of the whole project(to be fair, a really small part)
They are purely for advertisement purposes and I will be getting them made for my final year exhibition.

Apart from my illness, a few new pieces on deviantart, i have nothing else to say. I will leave you with one of my favorite music videos of all time, a tiny bit of Slipknot.

Have a good one.

So it begins...

...and so it does. This blog will probably not be updated as much as I would prefer, but due to my final year, I think that is allowed.

My current work can be seen here.

I haven't been working much lately, been concentrating on my dissertation and one of my final projects. They will be up soon, i think.

Possibly, soon, maybe, www.biteandchew.com should be up. An organic clothing company I was lucky enough to work with.

Anyway, I will post something more valuable soon.
